FAQs
Q. How much should we give to the driver/guide as a tip?
The amount of gratuity we recommend for the driver/guides is between £40 to £60 per touring day for the E-Class, £80 to £120 per touring day for the V-Class and £120 - £160 per touring day in the luxury Sprinter depending on the level of service that you feel you have received. The gratuity is entirely at your discretion.
Q. What is the cost for the tour?
Most of the tours shown on the website give a 'from' price and this is based on the saloon vehicle for a maximum of 2 people. As all tours are bespoke and individually designed please contact us to find out a definitive quote for the specific tour you wish.
Q. Is there a deposit required.
We require a 10% deposit for all tours which must be paid to confirm the tour and this is non-refundable. The balance would be due 6 weeks prior to the start of the tour.
Q. What is the best way to pay?
For small amounts under £1000.00 I recommend paying by credit card and this is done securely through the Worldpay portal for which we send a link to follow. For larger amounts I recommend a wire transfer and we can send all the details necessary that your bank would require.
Q. What credit cards do you accept?
We accept all forms of credit cards including American Express but there is a surcharge for amounts over £500.00. 3.5% for Mastercard and Visa and 2% for American Express. We waive the surcharge on all deposits under £1000.00 but it remains standing for all balance payments.
Q. What is included in the tour price.
When you are sent a quotation it is stated exactly what is included in terms of touring days, attractions and accommodation. Not included are attractions, (unless stated), lunches, dinners, (unless stated), client travel insurance and the drivers gratuity.
Q. What are the driver/guides hours per tour day?
The tour day is 8 - 9 hours as standard. You can decide each day what time you wish to be collected but it would be normally around 9 - 9.30 am and a finish by 6pm so that you are in your accommodation in time for dinner. The driver is not available in the evenings due to the companies drivers hours regulations.
Q. Do you provide holiday insurance?
Yes, we do offer insurance. We know travelers frequently inquire about travel insurance, and we are able to create personalized travel insurance quotes (ie, Trip Cancellation/Interruption coverage). This is provided through our supplier Zicasso. Please do ask if you require this to add to your tour
