Private Tours of Scotland
Come to Scotland, a country steeped in history, and sample our world renowned hospitality, stunning scenery and, if you dare, our haggis.
WE ARE OPEN!
After the fantastic news announced by our government, I wanted to confirm that Scotland have followed England in allowing International Inbound travel from Monday 2nd August at 0400AM. The only requirement is double vaccination, a negative test prior to departing and a negative test in the UK on or before two days (no quarantine required!). I have attached an information sheet, (link below), listing the details and where to find the tests and forms required.
Most hotels, restaurants and hospitality venues are now fully open, (there are a few exceptions), with masks being required when moving around and before being seated, (unless medically exempt). Please do bring your own masks although we are hopeful this rule will be dropped to 'optional'. All our drivers are fully vaccinated and will wear masks on board if requested.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch as we would be delighted to answer any questions that you might have.
Please read our guidance sheet: Information Sheet
We look forward to welcoming you back to Scotland.
NEW FOR 2021
Charles Rennie Mackintosh Private Day Tour
Our Popular Choices
Braveheart or Loch Ness
Take a day to unmask the history surrounding William Wallace on our ever popular Braveheart Day Tour, a tour to enjoy the beauty of the Scottish Borders, spend a day in St Andrews, the 'home of golf', a whisky sampling tour around Speyside or just enjoy the stunning scenery of Glencoe and Loch Ness on our 2 Day Loch Ness Tour.
Outlander Day Tour
The Outlander historical romance between Claire and Jamie is set to continue and Chauffeur Tour Scotland is offering the chance to visit some of the now well-known locations like Lallybroch, Castle Leoch, Cranesmuir, Mrs Bairds B&B and many more in one of our tours. You can take a day tour from either Glasgow or Edinburgh or for those avid fans, a 2 day tour taking in Inverness and Culloden.
If there are any locations you would like to visit that are not mentioned then do let us know as we will try to include them in your tour.
Experience the North Coast 500
Drive the furthest reaches of Scotland along the rugged coastline along narrow roads and through little villages to experience the well known NC 500. Visit Durness, Smoo Cave, Torridon, Gairloch, Applecross and marvel at the stunning north coast scenery.
For those of you who are connoisseurs of our whisky you may wish to take part in one of our whisky tours of Scotland. New for this year is the Winter Lowlands Whisky Tour - a 2 day tour which runs all year - and naturally, our popular Speyside Whisky Trail which will run from mid-April until mid-October.
For 2020 we offer our 8 Day Whisky Tour incorporating Speyside and Islay.
Stay in fabulous accommodation and sample the 'uisge beatha', the water of life, whilst enjoying the stunning scenery of our beautiful country.
You may of course substitute another distillery of your choice in any of these tours. See full details on here.
Our 3 Day Castle Tour is where you would get the chance to visit Glamis Castle, childhood home to the late Queen Mother, Scone Palace, the crowning place of Scottish Kings, Urquhart Castle and Inveraray Castle, home to the Duke of Argyll, with beautifully preserved interiors spanning many generations of Campbells and the setting of 'Duneagle Castle' for Downton Abbey, and stay in luxury accommodation at Culloden House and the beautiful Inverlochy Castle Hotel near Fort William.
We have focussed on our more popular private tours of Scotland to give some idea of what is available, although any of these can be tailored to suit your individual requirements. Lengthen or shorten the tour or incorporate any sights or areas that might be of particular interest.
We can organise fast track entrance vouchers for Historic Scotland sites such as Edinburgh or Stirling Castles or National Trust sites like Culloden Battlefield or Falkland Palace and if you are travelling around Scotland and planning to visit many of these attractions then please enquire about an Explorer Pass.
If you would prefer a more in depth historical guide to Scotland then we would be delighted to organise a Blue Badge Guide for your tour.
