Chauffeur Tour Scotland's Glamis Castle Tour

Tour to Glamis Castle the stunning childhood home of the late Queen Mother in the heart of the Grampians then visit St. Andrews and the east Neuk of Fife.

Glamis castle

Travel north out of Edinburgh over the Forth Road Bridge and the River Tay to arrive at Glamis Castle, the childhood home of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. Spires, turrets, towers and statues will seize your attention initially, but there is so much more to explore in this legendary Castle with its strong links with history, royalty and fiction. After your tour of the Castle the decision is yours. You can visit Scone Palace, the crowning place of Scottish Kings, now the cherished family home of the Earl of Mansfield, where a replica of the Stone of Destiny is on display and the chapel on Moot Hill where the coronations took place, travelling via Meikleour Beech Hedge, an incredible living wall of beech trees 30 metres/100 ft high and 530 metres/a third of a mile long. The trees were planted in 1745 and are now officially recognised in the Guinness Book of Records as the highest hedge in the world. Alternatively, travel over the Tay Bridge into the Kingdom of Fife to St. Andrews, the home of golf, which boasts the oldest university in Scotland, St Andrews Links, the ruins of the Abbey and St Salvator’s Quadrangle and Chapel. Browse the many lovely shops in the centre of St Andrews which offer an excellent range of independent, family-run shops and businesses, where you are guaranteed to find a unique range of goods matched by personal service. Travel back to Edinburgh along the Fife coast.

This is only a guide as any other historical sites can be incorporated into a tailored sightseeing tour of your own making. You can lengthen or shorten the duration of your tour or start in Glasgow.

Duration: 8 hours (starting in Edinburgh).
Price: From £320.00.
